Office of the University Council Joins
Walailak Songkran Festival 2026
On April 8, 2026, the team from the Office of the University Council participated in the ‘Walailak Songkran Festival 2026’ held at the Architecture and Design Laboratory Building. The opening ceremony was presided over by President Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, alongside executives, faculty, staff, students, and over 500 members of the local community.
The event featured a warm and friendly atmosphere as participants took part in the traditional water-pouring ceremony to express gratitude and receive blessings from local elders in the Walailak Demonstration Community. Highlights of the day included a lively Long Drum dance (Ramwong Long Klong Yao) with the elders, bringing smiles, joy, and a stronger sense of community connection to everyone involved.
